Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2025
Welcome to One Million Scam™ (“we”, “us”, “our”). We operate purely as a novelty—no real product or service is delivered, and all payments are treated as a novelty fee granting you placement in our Hall of Shame.
1. Information We Collect
- Placement fee data: We don’t collect any sensitive payment info ourselves. All checkout details—email, billing address, and the novelty fee amount—are securely handled by Stripe. We store:
- Your nickname, secondary title, social links (if provided), and fee amount—to power the Hall of Shame.
- Your email—for transaction records and any necessary support—but it’s never displayed publicly.
- Hall of Shame entries: After checkout, you choose a nickname to proudly display. You can also (optionally) add a secondary name and social media links to fully embrace the shame.
- Usage & analytics: Anonymous site metrics via Vercel Analytics (and/or Google Analytics) to track page views and performance.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Handle payments securely via Stripe (they collect the real stuff—see their privacy policy).
- Show off your nickname (plus optional links) in the glorious Hall of Shame.
- Respond to any desperate emails you send our way (support, press, or confessions).
- Track basic, anonymous site stats to see how many souls stop by.
3. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal cookies—just enough to run anonymous analytics and make sure nobody abuses the system. No tracking across the web, no dark patterns, no theme preferences (because we only have one). You can disable cookies in your browser, but things might get weird.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on a few third-party services to keep things running:
- Stripe for secure payment processing.
- Vercel for hosting, plus optional Vercel Analytics.
- Google Analytics for additional site metrics.
5. Data Retention
We retain your payment record and chosen nickname for as long as needed to meet financial regulations and keep your Hall of Shame entry live. Other data—like cookies or logs—is automatically cleared on a regular basis.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request:
- Access, correction, or deletion of your data
To exercise any of these, email us at theonemillionscam@gmail.com.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our “scam” evolves (or once we hit our million-dollar novelty-fee goal!). The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.
